J.M.S. Presents-Underground Infinite - Vol 1 (2001)

Peace, I was sorting through some old junk and discovered some (three) CD-R's of old underground Hip Hop compilations titled Underground Infinite that I did up back in 2001.

From memory they were compiled for a road trip so I thought I would throw them in my PC and hah not surprisingly there were jumps, nicks and scratches all over the discs but I did manage to see what the track listings were so I could re-compile them and share them on J.M.S.

Here is the first volume...enjoy!

1-Busy Bee-Flavor Man (1992)
from the Thank God For Busy Bee LP
Produced by: Dante Barton

This one goes out to Liam...Ahhhh The Chief Rocker Busy Bee, this Man was mad hilarious in Wild Style and a style all to his own.

On this track from his second solo album he does justice to the infamous Sly and The Family Stone drums (yes those one's) a dope guitar sample and this was Bee proving why he was still relevant in the 90's with a quick flow and rhymes about how he dope he is and what it meant to be a true MC... this one should played be loud and with the bass on high.

oh and when was the last time you heard an MC call wack MC's ding a lings?...lmfao

2-Kool Moe Dee-Good Times (1992)
from the Zebrahead Soundtrack
Produced By The LG Experience

Another veteran MC proving he was relevant in the 90's was this slammin' (wait a minute...did he just say slammin'?...eeeerrrahhhh) this is dope, fat production, a great flow from Moe Dee and a nice succession of breaks where Moe Dee rhymes about them, there were a couple of weak tracks on that soundtrack, but take them off and you have a very solid album with of course Nas's debut single on it, by the way that film was odd, did anyone see it?

3-KGB-Pick Up The Pace (Nu Mix) (1993)
from the Pick Up The Pace 12"
Produced by Russell Presley & Steven Flagg

I listen to this most mornings because it gives me more pep than a nice cup of tea does (stop laughing) and I wish they still made records like this, this was so dope, a catchy sample and bassline you could hum for days, fat drums and KGB's awesome chemistry, yep they were Wu affiliates and I am sure the Clan would have done severe damage to this as it stands KGB do the work and oh look, if you are having a shitty day, play this and tell me that your mood doesn't change.

dopeness and a fat shout to Matt for this chumpie and this one is especially for Apsara aka Boo Boo Bear

4-Da Grassroots-The Revival (Three Rhyme Superstars) (1999)
from the Passage In Time LP
Produced by Mr Attic

To Canada now and a track of the saldy under rated Passage In Time LP, this track is still a monster, an ill throwback joint complete with scratches and cuts from DJ SOS and a very lively audience hearing, Arcee, Fatski and Schizm going back and forth just like old Cold Crush Brothers routines, more records like this should be made, the energy and vibe this track gives off is like being at a show watching them on stage.

This one is dedicated to Laurent

5-Sha'Dasious-Ima Put My Thing Down (Put It Down Remix) (1993)
from the Ima Put My Thing Down 12"
Produced by
Sha'Dasious

Thanks to Matt for the hook up on this one, I only ever had this on a mixtape and I remember DJ Kilu letting that intro run for ages, this track is a lovely slice of 1993 flavour, you have a famous sample (Hook and Sling) the Synthetic Substitution drums and a fat bassline, this was definitely aimed for the clubs and still sounds as great as did then today. this one goes out to BH McGee

6-Emanon ft Dr Oop-Detour (Stonewall Mix)(2001)
from the Sometimes 12"
Produced by Exile

Ahhhh, I think I will always love this, the little piano tinkles and DJ cuts always put a smile on my face and Dr Oop sounds great with Aloe Blacc and DJ Exile.

This joint is kind of smooth but hot damn it's great and in my honest view,Emanon were to slept on and all of their back catalogue is worth checking out, if you like this then you are welcome.

This one goes out especially to D-Street

7-King Tee-
Black Together Again (LA Zuu Remix)(1992)
from the
Black Together Again 12"
Produced by SuedeThe Silent Grenade

This one is for my Pete Rock forum mod Magnifik, a dope remix of an already dope track, I have always been a big King Tee fan, he also held it down for the West and the East and this remix is well kind of odd, a few lyrics are completely erased and Tee must have said some hardcore shit about cops that his record company wouldn't allow.

I have no clue who
SuedeThe Silent Grenade was but he gave us a dusty and ill remix here and I know you will enjoy this.

The no love for chocolate fudge line is still hilarious too

8-Run DMC-What's It All About (1990)
from the Back From Hell LP
Produced by Jam Master Jay

I remember reading an interview with Run DMC in an NME magazine that said Jam Master Jay liked the UK's Stone Roses, I did not think that he would end up sampling their classic "Fools Gold" track to great effect though.

I have some really good memories of early Wednesday Nite Jams shows with this when I was doing the show with Mikey and Vee, I can't quite believe that was over 17 years ago but it was, anyway they didn't just loop this, they used a different part in the bridge and the lyrics were hardcore and real.

Jam Master Jay is still missed and sadly his murder still remains unsolved, but his legacy and music will always remain, this one goes out to DJ Sir Vere and Joe Turksta

9-Automatik-No Man's Land (Down and Dirty Tribe Street Mix)(1997)
from the
No Man's Land 12"
Produced by Down and Dirty Tribe

While the lyrics are grimy, Mobb Deep thuggish and a little generic, the flow is tight and the sinister production is what makes this joint a standout, I don't have a lot of info about this sorry, if you do please contact me.

10-Hard 2 Obtain-Hip Hop Lifestyle (1994)
from the Heels Without Souls 12"
Produced by DJ Nastee

Why this wasn't on the Ism and Blues is a puzzle, it is one of the dopest and smoothest tracks this Long Island crew ever did, that bassline, those Sorcerer of Isis drums, the classic KRS One vocal sample and the chemistry of H2O is second to none...this if for my man Max

11-Mysterme and DJ 2020-Playtimes Over (Quixx Mix)(1994)
from the Peep The Wreck 12"
Produced by Joe Quixx

How did Joe Quixx get those Joe Tex drums to sound like that? and how smooth and fat is that bassline? and why is the remix so dope?, these and many other questions can be answered when you get up to track 11 of the fat tape, thank you for your co-operation.

This is dedicated to Dan L

12-Illcrook-Illcrook
from the Illcrook 12"
Produced by Illcrook

This is dope and I am not even to sure what year this was released but I think 94-96, fat drums, a great deep piano loop and it was one of those tracks that just worked, pure undiluted New York underground Hip Hop.

13-Powerule-Rock Ya Knot Quick (1995)
from the Dawn To Dusk 12"
Produced by Erick Sermon

Powerule never got the due they deserved and this Green Eye Bandit produced jewel was one of their finest moments, well placed Redman and Black Moon samples, the fat Whatnauts drums and a booming bassline, the rhymes flowed well as well.

If you are a fan of E Double beats, and haven't heard this before, you will love it.this one is for Rimoni

14-Wee Bee Foolish-Turn It Out (2001)
from the This Kid 12"
Produced by Yeshua The Po Ed

I used to play this one out, straight after "Tried By 12" and it always got a good response, it's classic New York Hip Hop if you ask me and is one of my fave WBF joints.

DJ Bless cuts up a storm on a Busta Rhymes cut and Yesh and Ken Boogaloo sound so smooth over the eerie strings and drums and the Tribe Called Quest samples are well chosen.

15-Denizen Kane-Only Sleeping (2002)
from the Tree City Legends LP
Produced by Anacron

We end this fat tape on a laidback note,Chicago's Denizen of Typical Cats wasn't as prolific as his bandmate Qwel, but he made some good records and this is one of them, an ill guitar runs through it and Denizen's voice blesses the funk backdrop, I enjoy the production and engineering that has been done on this and the track as a whole is cool, it's a good way to finish this fat tape I think.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZW4BKI4U

Peace

Happy 2008 and the first comp of the year...

It is almost 2008, so what better way to kick in the new year than with a fat tape?

The CRDS Fat Tape Volume 1-2008

1-Big Daddy Kane-It's Hard Being The Kane (1990)
from the Taste of Chocolate LP and Raw 91 12"
Produced by
Prince Paul

Ahhhhh Big Daddy Kane, so smooth and full of clever lines, metaphors, delivered in a thick Barry White like tone and this would have to be the best cut from the fairly average third album from Antonio Hardy, there was just to much crooning and made for radio commercial syrup.

However Prince Paul came through on this joint, horn stabs, drums and bass lead into a fat bassline and percussion, while an ill horn sweeps through and Kane who is "cool as a draft" rips the mic with rhymes of raw power and dope lines, this is how the rest of the album should have sounded, what I love about this track the most is the horns.

2-Mr Voodoo-Hemlock (1996)
from the Lyrical Tactics 12"
Produced by Charlemagne

Those horns still give me chills and what about that ill bassline and Vopdoo's flow?...pure illness, this is another joint that would get a lot of requests when I played it on radio or out in bars and clubs in the 90's.

Brooklyn, New Yorks' Mr Voodoo was part of the dynamic Natural Elements crew and blessed a lot of tracks in his time, he now goes by the name Agu and still rhymes and makes music. mental receptors is setting off metal detectors...word

http://www.aguakamistervoodoo.com/index.cfm

3-Troubleneck Brothers-Gusto (1993)
from the Troubleneck Wreck 12"
Produced by
Troubleneck Brothers
http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=Xygsihhd8Ts&feature=related
http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=DnKphOBOS0o&feature=related

Dope, I remember this being requested a little bit, back in 1993 when I cold rocked it on radio (haha), listen to that bassline, those ill drums and that old school vocal sample (I think it might be from Wild Style) and again, sadly there isn't a great deal about the Troubleneck Brother's out there, they were from the Bronx and released an independent tape album in 1992 titled Fuck You and one of them went onto to start the all hip hop website.

4-Tony Tone-Flow To The Bone (Original Laidback Mix) (1993)
from the Flow To The Bone 12"
Produced by Tony Tone

Tony Tone (of Style fame) kicks a true 93 style and you hear flavor, mad and wreck along with some iggidy in his rhymes, but it's all good, over a simple mix of a surface sample bassline and Impeach and Synthetic Substiution drums Tone does work and this still sounds great as does the horn sample in the hook, I had this on a mixtape in the 90's and it's great to hear it again...word and special thanks to Matt for the hook up.

5-Blak Twang-Real Estate (1996)
from the Real Estate 12"
Produced by DJ Rumple

A dope and honest cut from the U.K's Blak Twang where he rhymes about the poor and housing estates he dwelled in, Blak talks about seeing high unemployment rates, having chicken nuggets robbed and drug addicts and doing what he and others had to do to get money and survive, over a soild bed of bass drums and a smooth bassline, this is a great slice of raw UK Hip Hop and my favourite track from Blak Twang.

6-Brotha Life-The Wreck'a (Original Mix) (1993)
from the The Wreck'A 12" (Island Noyze Records)
Produced by Brotha Life & Nathaniel X

Here is again another great example of 1993 Hip Hop, a piano loop, shuffling drums, bass and you guessed it horns swaying in and out of the mix,not a lot is known about Brotha Life, but I think he did House records as well as Hip Hop ones, the other track and the The Wreck'A remix were dope as well and I will up them at a later date, special thanks to Matt for this and to Smoov and Redkhat for the 12" pic.

7-Masta Ace Inc-Mad Wunz (1993)
from the Slaughtahouse LP
Produced by Ase One & Latief

Ahhh those horns (did I mention I am sucker for ill horn samples?.) and those slammin' drums and Ace's flow and Lord Digga's gruff voice on the hook and... oh you just know this is one of my all time favourites and from one of my all time favourite album,s it's funny but a lot of what Ace rhymes about on here is still a problem in Hip Hop and yep Ase One was of course an alias for Masta Ace....
To The Beat Y'All

8-The Beatnuts ft Al Tariq,Problemz and Marly Metal-Hammer Time (2001)
from the Take It or Squeeze It LP (2001)
Propduced by
The Beatnuts

I didn't think Take It Or Squeeze It was a bad album and this track made up of an ill piano loop, bass and kicking drums was a highlight for me, it is interesting to note that Psycho Les drops the we stand strong like the twin towers line because we all know what happened in 2001.

I have always thought that Kool G Rap would destroy this and I can hear him on this... I have started listening to this album again and know my man BH enjoys Problemz so this is dedicated to him.

9-Poor Righteous Teachers-Ghetto Love (1993)
from the Black Business LP
Produced by Father Shaheed

Ahhhhh back to 1993 again, I remember thrashing this tape until to snapped and then I got a dub off a friend, this was the first PRT album with no Tony D beats and it had Father Shaheed lacing the beats on their third album, on this joint we get another use of the classic Young Holt Trio Limited drums, a piercing horn and a sample I know form a BDP track, there isn't much to say here, except for I miss those days and this type of Hip Hop.

This is especially for my man O-Fish.

10-Pure Genius-Undercover (1995)
from the Unbelievable 12" (Pure Pressure Records)
Produced by
Pure Genius?

From Nottingham, England comes this dope and mellow track, using a great Lord Finesse vocal sample, a smooth bassline and fat drums (a chop of the ...Simple Song drums) you just can't go wrong, they also released "Unbelievable" and "Law of The Land" but some more info on these kids would help...anyone?

11-Lacks-The Idiology
(2003)
from the Re:Lacks Vol 1 With The World LP
Produced by Lacks

This is none other than Ta'Raach, rhyming over a breezy track about lame MC's and the perils and hardships of making music for a living, the drums and keyboard sounds work well and it reminds me of some Kev Brown type of production, Lacks did the beat himself and the rest of the album is on this type of vibe and definitely worth checking out.

12-Ultramagnetic MC's-Pluckin Cards (1992)
from the Funk Your Head Up LP
Produced by Kool Keith

The second album is often a difficult one if the first album is a classic, the Ultra's didn't quite match the brilliance of Critical Beatdown, but Funk Your Head Up was it's own beast, Keith is so bugged and out of his mind with these rhymes about TV shows and er...sprinkling pepper on doo doo...wtf...haha but it's the fat Synthetic Substitution drums and warbling funk that makes this one of the stand outs, oh and some dope horns are in the mix as well.

13-Pip Skid-I Can't Front (2001)
from the P & C Factory Seconds LP
Produced by mcenroe

Another example showing mcenroe's fine production talent and I have always admired Pipi's gruff voice and honest rhymes, that sample is so freaking familiar and sounds like something the Beatnuts would use anyway it's a dope sample and I love the drums on this and of course Pip, yeah I know some kids won't enjoy this, but if you do..that's goo...oh and check for the amusing phone message from John Smith at the end.

14-The Hansoul Project-That's Life (1993)
from the That's Life 12"
Produced by -The Hansoul Project

Hmmmm bacon...listen to that ill crackle, the jazz samples and those drums just pound, ahhhhh 1993 come back, please come back, oh and yes indeed those horns but on a smile on my dial, the Hansoul Project was Spill and DJ Ran and they were signed to Loud Records when they released this, I am unsure if they had an album, so if you know please post in the comments section, props to Werner for the pic.

15-C.E.B.-Monkey on My Back (1993)
from the Countin' Endless Bank LP
Produced by Sabir

It is a sad and tragic tale about Philly's Steady B and Cool C as they should be living in good health but instead they are in jail and mostly likely for life as they were botched up a bank robbery in 1996 and an innocent police officer was shot and killed, they are both paying for their crime so we can still celebrate them as musicians, this record had a classic Ruffhouse sound, hard drums, rumbling basslines, quirky stabs and hooks and some of the lines seem to point at their eventual downfall.

I took time off...now i'm back to work...

I had actually planned to take some more time away from my blog, but your comments that were left in the Out of Biz post have made me realize that I have some dope fans out there and fans get hungry...not only that, I enjoy doing this.

I cannot even thank you enough and I have honestly been moved by your appreciation and genuine comments, it's ill to know that there are good people out there on the big bad internets...

So without further ado, a massive thank you to all of you and to my family Magnifik, Illest and Goonie Hodges at the one and only Pete Rock forum, my crew at the Bust The Facts forum and my fellow bloggers,my real life friends and You and You You (Clap Your Hands...Lol)

plus a special shout out to my wonderful groupies Dani S and Aps...haha

Mad respect!

so as we roll on...here we go with Volume 3 of the JVC Tapedeck Fat Tape series...which I know a lot of you enjoy...because you tell me so :D

^Hard to believe we were rocking these in the 80's, they just seem so ancient now.

The JVC Tapedeck Fat Tape Vol. 3

1-Main One-Nigguz Aint Got It (1995)
from the Birth of The Ghetto Child LP
Produced by Domingo

This is a hardcore New York jewel, Domingo laces the Puerto Rican, Main One with a deep jazz bassline (very similar to Eric B and Rakim's 'Juice' but I'm not sure if it is), horns and the classic drums from Manzel's "Midnight Theme".

Main One tears the mic up and rhymes about how real it is where he is from and his skills, the chorus is a typical chant that makes you want to ice grill someone and raise your hands in the air, Main One released a few more 12"s after this album and I recommend this album if you are a golden age beat seeker as this has dope beats from Ski, Silver D,Buckwild and others oh and Kurious was on the dope 'El Gran Combo' which I think I have put up here before.

2-Mesanjarz of Funk-Funk In Da Trunk (1993)
from the
Mesanjarz of Funk LP
Produced by Tony Dofat

This Latin crew from NYC only had the one album, but it was good and this is a great slice of 1993 flavour laced up by Tony Dofat, he connects the timeless 'Blind Alley' drums to an ill bassline and James Brown (still miss you Big Godfather) hey's, The MC's D-Vell and Pearl Pizazz were able rhyme slingers and bounced lines off each other to good effect, DJ Royal Tech was the groups DJ.

One love baby pah...

3-The Pharcyde-Ya Mama (Kenny Dope remix)
Produced by Kenny Dope

Oh geeez it's those drums yet again, but who cares this remix was dope and some of Kenny's finest Hip Hop work, a tasty recipe of horns, fat drums, a smooth sample and a beat breakdown at the end, but in all honesty, nothing could ever touch the original 'Ya Mama' and that's a double fact jack.

4-Kam-Every Single Weekend (1991)
from the Boyz N The Hood soundtrack
Produced by DJ Pooh

This is one of my favourite Kam joints (and his first?) honesty what's not to like here?, I still vibe on the Biz Markie vocal sample, the rubbery funk bass and classic guitar and drums from Issac Hayes' 'Breakthrough' and the Slick Rick cut ups as well.

Kam was honest in his rhymes and told it straight up... I have a question, does anyone know what the track is playing in the background when Kam gets the call at the intro?

5-Ceedeez-Mastermind Design (1996)
from the Emergency-The Sampler LP
Produced by Team Diehard

There is very little I can tell you about this sorry...

This is a solid track and interesting rhymes about designing the perfect MC...we already did he was named Rakim :D

6-Shaliek-Doing Damage (2000)
Produced by Awesome 2

I was going through some old CD's the other week and thought yep I have to share this, it's sadly another track I know very little about, but it's a damn banger b!, hard hitting drums and horns, sharp rhymes from Shaliek who sounds like OC at times and an intro by DJ Premier, this was from some mixtape called Rap Collective Volume 3, but I have never seen it and I assume it was a French release...if anyone has any info please let me know.

7-Fanat-My Style (1998)
from the Blowin Up Spots 12"
Produced by A Kid Called Roots

This Brooklyn kid was first known as K Fanat and dropped the K for this 98 12", it's a dope street record and is laced with grimy samples and head nodding drums the A Side 'Blowin Up Spot' was much the same and dope as well, K Fanat was on the compilation BQE compilation put out by Hydra records, he had the cut 'Zoo York'.

8-Tommy Tee ft F.T. and P-Dap-Blood Rush (1998)
from the Bonds, Beats & Belief LP
Produced by Tommy Tee

I have always liked F.T and when a user sent this to me on Audio Galaxy (ahhhhh those were the days) it was only labelled as FT and P-Dap so I always assumed it was produced by an underground New York producer, so years later I found a CD of Tommy Tee's Beats, Bonds and Belief and realized it was Norwegian producer Tommy Tee that did this, man that muffled bassline and those pianos, drums and the rugged flows of F.T. and P-Dap are still damn impressive.

9-KMD-Get You Now (94)
from the Black Bastards LP
Produced by Subroc

As much as I love this, I do always feel a wave of sadness at hearing Subroc's voice and production on KMD records, this was one of their best, I love the way they bring in the Das EFX sample, the bassline, that eerie horn and the fat drums from Booker T and The MG's version of 'Sing A Simple Song' (also used by Chubb Rock, Brand Nubian and Little Shawn and others, possibly your Mother...who really knows?...:P

as it says on the intro, that shit my blew head man...

10-Blvd Mosse-Move To Something Funky (1990)
from the All Praises Due To Outstanding (tape)
Produced by Tony D

Wahooooo, a super duper shout to DJ Matt Nyce for this jewel, for this one I let the music speak for itself...god I miss the 90's and people need to give Tony D his due props, this a Trenton, New Jersey rare gem.

This is dedicated to the crew at the B.T.F. forum.

11-King Solomon-A Fine Thin Line (2001)
from the Solstice EP
Produced by Preme Ohio

Dayton, Ohio MC King Solomon is cool and this blend of chopped up strings, bass, piano and drums is dope to these ears, what he did was mos def worth checking, he was on the Lone Catalysts, Mood type of vibe and released this EP on the Illmindmuzik label and is soon to release an album titled Sol-Itude this year.

12-Apache-Hey Girl (1993)
from the Apache Aint Shit LP
Produced by Large Professor

Large Professor loved those Whatnauts drums and uses them to ill effect on this dope track for Apache and using Milo(LONS) and Collie Weed for the chorus was a wise move plus Apache's dirty rhymes are funny and to the point, I used to thrash this when I had it on tape and now just thrash it my headphones.

A question to ponder: why was Large Pro never a core member of DITC?

13-Lord Finesse-Return of The Funky Man (remix) (1991)
from the
Return of The Funky Man 12"
Produced by Showbiz

I could write many pages on how great Lord Finesse and DITC is but I'm not going to (this time), this was the dope remix that was on the 12" and I am sure you know the drums and the bassline and the vocal hooks so I don't need to tell you, the question is what is Finesse up to these days?...We need him and DITC more than ever these days.

14-Lord The Arkitec-Name of The Game (1997)
from the
Name of The Game 12"
Produced by Large Professor

I think by the fact that I have three Extra P produced joints on this volume you can tell I have been on a Extra P kick recently, this Queens MC sounds just lovely over these beats, and that Biz vocal sample is a winner, the whole track is just dope and I could imagine hearing Nas over these beats too...It's pretty funny how Large Pro used that 'boing boing' sample from 'Hard' in this though.

15-Divine Styler-Ghetto Supreme Being (1999)
from the Strength Magazine Presents Subtext LP
Produced by
Divine Styler

I have always felt that the Brooklyn born Divine was well ahead of his time and 1989's 'Tongue of Labryinth' is one of my all time favourite cuts, this track is hard to describe but it's a definite headnodder, a little out there and kind of Aceyalone like, a great track to bump in headphones as you get all of the effects.

16-Jahbaz-Dirty Jungle (1999)
from the Various-Special Brew-Heavy Loungin Compilation
Produced Ticklah

Jahbaz was first in the Justice System and released this great joint in 1999, Ticklah did dope work behind the boards on this and the Lou Donaldson drums, bassline, jungle sounds and horn are very infectious...yeah I still love this and if you haven't heard the comp this came off...then do.

17-Da Henchmen-What U Gonna Do (1994)
from the What U Gonna Do 12"
Produced by The Tick

The Ill A-Side to the track posted on the first Volume
http://coldrockdaspot.blogspot.com/2007/07/jaz-presents-jvc-tapedeck-fat-tape.html

Dope horns, a sinister bassline, fat drums using a great chop of the infamous Sly & The Family Stone break (you know the one) and raw vocals basically, if you enjoyed 'Flippin On 'Em' you will enjoy this...oh yeaaaahhhhhhhh

18-Mic Gerinomo-Hemmin Heads (1994)
from the It's Real 12"
Produced by DJ Irv

I could never understand why this didn't make The Natural LP in 1995, because it's just dope and DJ Irv uses 'Hydra' something lovely, a Nas sample from 'Halftime' a beautiful piano (Gang Starr lovers will know this one) and yes DJ Irv is Irv Gotti.

A Nas and Mic collbao would have been interesting and yes Mic did release some new material this year, but it just didn't have the magic that he used to deliver "my syllables are critical in paragraph form" indeed.

19-Powerule ft Large Professor-Gots To Get This (1991)
from the Powerule Vol 1 LP
Produced by Powerule & Large Professor

I really like what Large Pro did here, there is all kinds of dopeness going on in the mix, Kool and The Gang horns, an EPMD sample from "Gold Digger", the chunky drums of Sly's 'You Can Make It If You Try' some spaced out keyboard sounds, James Brown vocal samples and cool rhymes, I never understood why this album rated so poorly.

20-Papa Chuk-
Trunk of Funk
from the Badlands LP
Produced by Master O.C.

First of all, Nope I can't think what the damn loop is, but I know it and I know eventually I will i.d. it, this is a dope little ditty from Austin,Texas's Papa Chuk about the Ladies with the big ol booty...it's amusing and I am not really sure what Papa means when he says can you smell it? haha.

Laced up by Old School DJ, Master O.C. from the Fearless Four and using, yes those Sly drums and a very familair loop that I can't pick, the whole Badlands album is worth hearing and Papa Chuk is still doing his thing.
