This, That and The Other...

Mad love to all of my CRDS readers and many thanks for the e-mails I have been getting from longtime fans of the blog, it's really quite humbling...alright so it's a chilled Friday night after a busy week at work, a nice cider, some nibbles and a BDP compilation in my headphones, sounding lovely and getting me more and more hyped for the upcoming KRS One tour next month in Wellington (I was just listening to "Criminal Minded" and remember that the MVC Posse and myself once did a sting for the Weds Nite Jam over a sample of that back in the days, I don't have it anymore so I can't share it but I will always have the memories) not to mention a couple of dope gigs I have upcoming with my crew Evil Mule in April and May.

So without further ado, here are some things I would appreciate you paying attention too...

DJ Snafu also informed me that there will they will be releasing Demigodz MC Rise's official debut LP The Cornerstone in the near future.

DWG have got a crazy dope exclusive EP with unreleased material from former Flavor Unit member Latee (aka Lati) very limited, the red vinyl edition has sold out but the black vinyl is still in stock.

In celebration of the 20th year anniversary of one of the greatest years ever in Hip Hop...1992, DJ's Art Official and Jaz will be on the Radio Active airwaves this Wednesday night 9-11 PM...cold rocking some crazy dope 92 classics off records and CD's...everything from Ragga, Underground, UK Hip Hop, New Zealand Hip Hop (if we can find some) and some of the biggest hits of the year, we are going to try and fit in as much as we can...hope you can tune in and join us...

Epic night, my many thanks to all those that came along, everyone performed really well and yeah I am bias because I manage them but Evil Mule killed it and it was really dope seeing them rock freestyles to some instrumentals I provided for the crew after thier set had ended,we could have gone for hours.

Los Jineteros did a great early set that got the punters in the groove.

Upper Hutt Posse did a dope set and I have never heard "E Tu" like that before, the 3 piece played really well.

MHB were cool and were just having a great jam with the Evil Mule boys joining them and Art Official scratching over the top (he also did this for Evil Mule and it was dope).

Pete and JD from AVS blew me way with the awesome lighting and visuals, Mike did a great job at the mixing desk.

I had lots of great Friends there and people thanking me for the gig and buying me drinks and seeing the smiles and enjoyment on people's faces is what it was all about.

Thanks so much again Bar Bodega, it was an honour to host this gig there, here is to bigger and better ones next year :)
