JMS: Kool Herc

20 years ago way back in the supreme year of 1993, Gee Rock & Da CND Coalition released their lone LP on a wildly limited number of cassettes which have rarely, if ever, been seen. Now Heavy Jewelz brings it back to Brick City with this 12 track fast moving funky LP on vinyl for the first time, never to be repressed. Limited to only 200 black vinyl copies and 100 on caramel swirl vinyl. The masters have been lost forever so we had to source straight from cassette. Accordingly we're letting these copies go for the nice price of only $25 per copy.

On a personal note, I find it really wrong that the founding Father of Hip Hop needs money for his medical bills, while there are so many wack and selfish "artists" that make millions for thier own gains and never give anything back to Hip Hop or who invented it, they would not even be on and making the millions they do if it wasn't for Herc and Bam.

Hip Hop is a multi-million dollar corporation, so why does none of that money to go those that invented it?

I've known camu longer than anyone in any crew he was ever in and I know he would love to be remembered for the obsession he put into his music and art. Much love fam. As for not seeing any photos of Solid Scheme your correct Chris and I were really on the low. We just made beats. Chris Passed away on March 9th 2001 of a suddden heart attack he was only 31That was my Dog! As for me I'm still making beats living in Los Angeles though originally from Brooklyn.
