Very sad news, I found out today (thanks Thun) that one of my favourite Hip Hop producers died in a car accident,Tony Depula aka Tony D from Trenton, New Jersey, was responsible for groups like the Poor Righteous Teachers and YZ and produced for the likes of King Sun, Scott Lark, Kwest The Madd Lad, Almighty & KD Ranks, Blvd Mosse, Blaque Sperm and many others as well as his own solo albums, on the 4th and Broadway and Grand Central labels and group Crusaders For Real Hip Hop, he was also a masterful digger and owned many independent and obscure records he would often use in his Indy Mixes CD's, he also had a ton of unreleased material that he planned on releassing at some stage.
R.I.P. to a great producer and entertaining MC that has left behind a legacy of great beats and artists.

thx for posting these...RIP Tony D!
Very sad to discover this Jaz. Tony D was very influencial to that classic East Coast rugged Hip Hop sound (that many of us LOVE and miss these days!). His place has got to be solidfied in Hip Hop history and he will be missed by all heads out there. R.I.P. Tony D.

Rest In Peace, Tony D.
As A true Trentonian I got to see Tony D and his vision in rare form. he will be greatly missed but never forgotten because his legacy of a hip hop utoptia will live on

Tony D you will be missed but never forgotten my man.
Does anyone have Tony D's Trenton Connection E.P.? Cheers & btw, I used to rock doubles of his "Music Makes You Move" LP. Naughty By Nature robbed his track "Adam's Nightmare" for OPP.
Thanks for all of the comments, it's dope to know that others appreciated what he did for Hip Hop.
sad news man! just wonder why the grim reaper always gets the wrong ones. why can't it be a damn puffy combs, lil wayne or other similar retards?!?
great post and thanks for the comment on Fat Lace, didn't realise we crossed over on some of those tracks - great minds....
RIP Tony D - I bought some great records off him on ebay
Thanks Dan, yeah great minds and all that, I really hope we get too see some of that unreleased material Tony was sitting on.
Just like Dan Greenpeace I too (Woodman UK) enjoyed his work in a major way. He'll be remembered 4eva. So glad I brought stuff off him when he was doing his business on ebay. RIP Tony Depula
